The Borders Distillery Collaboration Elementum for the Distillers One of One

I was commissioned by The Borders Distillery in Hawick to create a one-of-a-kind artwork for The Distillers One of One Charity Auction at Hopetoun House, in partnership with Sotheby’s.

Elementum is a 21 gallon repurposed ceramic vessel inspired by the Distillery’s fruit-forward-flavours, passionate distillers, and relationships with the farmers and rivers of the Tweed Valley.

About the Artist

I am a contemporary abstract artist and intuitive who creates vibrant energetic art inspired by my passion for the mind body spirit connection, freedom, transformation and nature.

Before I became a professional artist, I explored many creative paths. As a child I loved acting and drama, I sang in a band and danced in my 20’s, I had a successful career as an award winning radio presenter, ran an arts and culture PR business, trained as a yoga teacher and energy healer, published a book and produced a podcast.

Each chapter has been driven by a desire to express myself and find a deeper meaning in the experiences that shaped my life.

I returned to art after many years, and painted as a hobby until Covid hit and my arts and culture PR business closed. It was my husband who encouraged me to take the leap and pursue my dream of becoming a full time artist… and I haven’t looked back since.
